Audios Amigos was formed in 1982 while I was providing sound services for various bands in the Columbus, Ohio area. At this time, I was driving my own truck, setting up my own equipment, and mixing the band. I was even providing cartage service for whatever band would employ me. Times were lean, but it was a great time in my life, and I used it to improve upon my craft.
As time went on, I found that my knowledge was more useful than all of the equipment I owned, so I began liquidating as much of my inventory as I could. I continued to work for local bands, but more on the order of a "hired gun" than a full production provider.
In 1987, I was given the opportunity to work as a sound mixer on a small Broadway-type road show. Within 3 years, I had earned my I.A.T.S.E. card from local 12. Since then I haven't looked back, accepting tour after tour as a mixer, and gradually honing my skills to design and engineer sound systems that are efficient to tour, simple to set-up, and pleasing to the ear.
I've been very fortunate to have worked with a lot of wonderful people, learning from one and all. As you browse through this site, you will find my resume, touring schedule, maybe some pictures of friends, and drawings (this page is very large--be forewarned!) that I have done in conjunction with the systems that I work with.
